A Tyrolean (43) may have caused the police in Erpfendorf in the Kitzbühel district to shake their heads. The man’s driver’s license was confiscated 22 years ago. Yet he found himself behind the wheel of a car that should not have been on the road at all.
The 43-year-old caught up with officers on Friday around 5 p.m. Police carried out checks on drivers and vehicles on Loferer Bundesstraße in Erpfendorf. “It was discovered that the driver was driving without a license,” investigators said.
License plate removed immediately
As it turned out, the Tyrolean’s “license” was confiscated in 2002 – 22 years ago. But that wasn’t the only thing that had people shaking their heads. “The inspection sticker on the car had already expired a year ago. And numerous technical defects were discovered,” the police said.
The officers immediately noted the car’s license plate number. This will be followed by notifications to the district administration.
