The mother (39) at the wheel, her eight-year-old daughter and a cat in the back seat – this is how a car left the road and crashed into a tree in Schenkenfelden (Upper Austria) on Saturday. Mother and child survived the accident with injuries.
The 39-year-old from the Urfahr-Raum district was driving on the B 38 towards Freistadt around 11.15 am on Saturday. In Schenkenfelden her car drove off the right side of the road and crashed into a tree.
The driver and her daughter (8), who were in the back seat while driving, were injured in the accident. The rescue took them both to the hospital.
Cat hiding in the woods after an accident
There was also a cat in the accident car. After colliding with the tree, the house tiger initially disappeared. The fire brigade – who took care of the recovery of the car – later found the four-legged friend in an adjacent forest. The cat was handed over to the Freistadt animal rescue service.
