A 60-year-old driver overlooked a 13-year-old student in the municipality of St. Georgen im Attergau on Monday around 3:45 p.m. The boy was hit by the car, thrown against the windshield and then ended up on the street, where he lay injured. He had to be transported to hospital.
The 60-year-old driver from the Vöcklabruck district drove his car from the St. Georgen im Attergau region towards Thalheim. Suddenly he saw a young girl crossing the road from the right.

The driver immediately applied emergency braking. However: After the young girl, the 13-year-old may also have tried to cross the street. The boy was hit by the car’s right side mirror, hit his head on the windshield and was then thrown to the ground.
