– Budget approval: The Basque Parliament will approve the Basque Government’s draft budget for 2025, once its parliamentary processing is completed, during the plenary session starting at 9:30 am. Today’s session will be broadcast live on eitb.eus. Barring any surprises, the bills will be approved with the absolute majority of the PNV and PSE-EE, partners of the executive, after EH Bildu last Thursday submitted the latest proposal that the Minister of Finance and Finance, Noël d’ Anjou. Likewise, the General Assemblies of Álava and Gipuzkoa will also implement the corresponding budgets for 2025, with the support of EH Bildu and PP respectively.
– Discounts on public transport: The Spanish government is extending universal public transport discounts for another six months, until June 30, which have been in force since 2022 but whose validity originally ended on December 31. There is currently a 50% bonus on the price of public transport, of which the state pays 30% and the Basque institutions 20%.
