On Monday, a British Airways plane had to make an emergency landing at Venice airport after four people on board felt unwell. She was on her way from London to Sharm el Sheikh (Egypt).
As the plane flew over the Adriatic Sea, four people on board experienced symptoms of illness such as dizziness. The cause initially remained unknown. The crew was given the green light for an emergency landing and took off for Marco Polo Airport in Venice, Italy.
Medical staff waited on the runway for patients who were not feeling well. They treated one passenger and three flight attendants. The British men and women aged between 30 and 40 refused to be taken to hospital for further examination.
Patients are well again
The fire brigade had now cordoned off an area around the aircraft. The patients are now doing well again.
