A Swiss Air plane had to make an emergency landing in Graz on Monday evening. A crew member was injured in the incident and taken to hospital by helicopter. The background to the emergency is engine problems and smoke in the cabin and cockpit.
The plane was en route from Bucharest to Zurich on Monday evening – with 74 passengers and five crew members. However, the plane never arrived in Switzerland. Engine problems and smoke in the cabin and cockpit are responsible for this.
The Swiss Air plane therefore informed Graz airport and landed unplanned in the Styrian capital. The affected people received initial care at the airport and 14 of them received medical care. An injured crew member had to be taken to hospital by helicopter.
