Noise, fuel, CO2 – How aircraft manufacturers and airlines are becoming greener

Date:

‘Then I’m gone’ is the motto for many people after Christmas Eve. The days after Christmas and New Year are often spent far away – whether on a city trip or a beach holiday. Good for relaxation, but also good for the climate? To ensure that you can fly with a clear conscience, aircraft manufacturers and airlines work together.

In a first step, freight specialist DHL has purchased 33 million liters of sustainable fuel and in a second step it wants to obtain at least a third of its fuel needs from sustainable products by 2030; Airbus is working with an American start-up on how we can produce climate-neutral kerosene from green energy and wood waste – two examples that show that the issue of sustainability has become extremely important in the aviation industry.
