There was a fire in a single-family home in Golling (Salzburg) on Monday evening. The fire brigade was able to quickly extinguish the fire, but during the Christmas holidays some rooms in the house were no longer habitable.
When the fire broke out, the family’s 13-year-old son was in the house with two friends. The boy had previously reheated the wood stove in the boiler room. To do this, he pushed the remaining wood back into the oven with a piece of cardboard and then put the cardboard back with the rest of the cardboard. The fire then ignited.
No injuries
When the young people noticed smoke, they immediately left the house. Despite the rapid extinguishing work, several rooms in the house are no longer usable. There were no injuries and the total damage is still unknown.
