At least five reporters from the Al Quds television network, affiliated with the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), were killed in a bomb attack carried out by the Israeli army in the early hours of this Thursday in front of Al Auda Hospital, located in the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.
The channel itself, through its profile on the Telegram channel, confirmed the deaths of Faisal abu al Qumsan, Auman al Yadi, Ibrahim Seij Ali, Fadi Hasuna and Mauhmad al Lada, in an attack on the ‘external transmission vehicle in the Nuseirat camp, while fulfilling their journalistic and humanitarian duty.
“This Zionist crime adds to the occupation’s series of crimes against journalists and the war of extermination against our struggling Palestinian people. And we at Al Quds TV channel, as we mourn the loss (…), we affirm that we will continue with our media message of resistance,” a statement read.
In addition, as a result of the explosion, which damaged the hospital, a doctor was seriously injured while he was at work, according to the Palestinian newspaper ‘Filastín’, which is also linked to the group.
For its part, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has indicated that its fighters carried out a “selective attack” overnight on “a vehicle carrying a squadron of the terrorist organization Islamic Jihad.”
