An “emergency” caused a 19-year-old from Graz to drive through Triesterstraat on Saturday with 122 objects – where only 50 km/h would be allowed.
On Saturday around 5:30 p.m., a 19-year-old from Graz stepped on the accelerator in Triesterstraat. 50 km/h was permitted on this route. Unfortunately, he drove past a civilian patrol from the state transportation department, who immediately gave chase and took measurements using calibrated video equipment. This resulted in a top speed of 122 km/h!
Shortly afterwards they stopped the speeder. He was driving too fast due to an emergency situation. He definitely didn’t have 122 on the speedometer, but a maximum of 80, he claimed – despite the police taking measurements. The officers did not accept his apology, but they did accept his driver’s license. In addition, a report is being filed.
