Unknown perpetrators threw a block of ice from the “Lauteracher bridge” onto the Rhine Valley highway on New Year’s Eve. It hit the windshield of a car directly. Miraculously, the driver was unharmed.
That could have ended badly: shortly after 11 p.m., a 26-year-old woman drove her car on the Rhine Valley highway towards Tyrol. Near the highway bridge in Lauterach, a block of ice suddenly crashed into her windshield, completely destroying it.
The police are asking for information from witnesses
Despite this, the driver still managed to drive the car safely off the highway. Fortunately, she was unharmed.
The Wolfurt police (059 133 8137) are now asking any witnesses to the crime to come forward immediately.
