Two boys aged 9 and 11 were injured in Hirschegg on New Year’s Day. While going up the mountain together with the Schlössle tow lift, a motorist crossed the traffic light controlled lift route.
The 44-year-old driver, who was driving on Greberweg towards Walserstrasse around 2:20 p.m., collided with the children. These collided with the driver’s side of the car and were pulled up using the lifting bar on the vehicle.
As the nine-year-old boy slid back onto the road on the driver’s side, the 11-year-old was pulled over the roof of the car and fell into the snow on the other side.
With the rescue to the hospital
Both children were injured in the strange accident. They were taken by ambulance to the hospital in Immenstadt (Germany). An alcohol test on the driver of the car was negative.
The police are currently still investigating the precise circumstances of the accident.
