Shock for a German motorist (28) and her passenger Tuesday afternoon in Nassereith in the Tyrolean district of Imst: Your car was rammed by a truck trailer that broke out in a bend and ended up on the crash barrier. The two women suffered injuries and had to be taken to hospital.
The serious accident happened around 3:30 p.m., according to police. A Belarusian truck driver (45) was driving on B189 Mieminger Straße from Holzleitensattel towards Nassereith when his trailer suddenly broke to the left on the final sharp right turn and into the opposite lane with full power.
Women injured in hospital
The car was then literally thrown onto the guardrail. The 28-year-old driver and her passenger (31) suffered serious injuries as a result of the impact. After first aid at the scene of the accident, they were taken by ambulance to Zams hospital.
One hour roadblock
The truck driver escaped uninjured and unharmed. The car was a total loss. The truck was also heavily damaged. Due to the accident, the B189 was closed to all traffic in this area for about an hour.
