Serious skiing accident on Thursday evening in Tyrol’s Söll! A British woman (30) and a 57-year-old Austrian fell head-on on the slope. Both winter sports enthusiasts briefly lost consciousness.
At around 5:15 p.m., the 30-year-old woman and the 57-year-old man were skiing in the Wilder Kaiser/Brixental ski area when both collided head-on at a piste intersection. “The two skiers fell and remained unconscious for a short time,” police said.
Taken to clinic and hospital
Other skiers immediately provided first aid and started the rescue chain. The British woman was then flown by emergency helicopter to the clinic in Innsbruck with significant injuries. The Austrian was taken to hospital in Kufstein.
