In police language it is about serious coercion and violations under the Weapons Act, in everyday language what happened on Monday afternoon in Klagenfurt was unbelievable, insane, frightening: a 36-year-old threatened his mother with a blank pistol because he wanted to have her driver on duty!
On Monday around 3 p.m., a resident of Klagenfurt wants to be driven to Waidmannsdorf. To ‘persuade’ his mother to provide this service, he threatened the 71-year-old with a blank pistol.
Along the way, the woman has to stop to let one of her son’s friends get in. The mother initially refuses to drive any further, but her son threatens her again with the gun – and shots are fired!
The 36-year-old then gets out of the car. The 71-year-old quickly seizes the opportunity, runs away and alerts the police.
The officers find the blank pistol in the car. They cannot question the 36-year-old: he is under the influence of drugs and is transferred to the police cell complex. An entry and approach ban is issued; also imposed a temporary weapons ban.
