The Basque government calculated that GDP would grow by 1.9% in 2024, so in the end the growth was two tenths higher than initially expected.

Compared to the previous quarter, BAC’s gross domestic product (GDP) recorded a growth of 0.4% in the fourth quarter. Compared to the same quarter last year, the increase was 1.9%.

According to Eustat, value added grew at a lower intensity in 2024 than the previous year in all economic sectors, with the exception of trade, the hospitality and transport sectors and public administration, education, healthcare and social services, where growth continued during intensified this year. last year.
