Lower Austrian police published ghost images after an attempted and completed rape of two women in Bad Erlach. As reported, an unknown man attacked and brutally assaulted the two victims. A description of the perpetrator was also published. The police ask for help.
The crimes took place on June 5 and 24 at night and always in the municipality of Bad Erlach. The attack took place on June 5 at around 1:30 am. A woman was pushed against a wall by a stranger. The assailant tried to rape her. The woman fiercely defended herself against her tormentor – he let go of her, but tore the watch from her wrist and ran away.
Dragged over dike and raped
The second attack took place on June 24 at around 12:45 PM. A woman was reportedly walking her dog when a man came out of the bushes, dragged her off an embankment and raped her. Both victims were injured in the attacks, police say they are still in shock.
The researchers assume one and the same perpetrator, both women described the stranger in the same way and the place and time of the crime are comparable.
description of the perpetrator
The male is described as six to six feet tall and in his 50s to 60s with a fair complexion and a strong to fleshy build. “The unknown man spoke to the victims in a language unknown to them. The unknown perpetrator could be a man from Eastern Europe,” police said. In the second act, the man wore mouth and nose protection and a distinctive French cap.
Information, which can also be treated confidentially if desired, is requested to be sent to the State Criminal Investigation Department of Lower Austria on 059133-30-3333.
