Before taking office at an event at the Capitol, he will meet with outgoing President Joe Biden at the White House.
The newly elected President of the United States, Donald Trump, arrived early this Monday at an Episcopal church, located near the White House, for a religious service that heralds a historic day in which the tycoon will culminate as president with full powers.
The Republican tycoon arrived at Saint John Episcopal Church with his wife, Melania Trump, and was considered the White House guesthouse after spending a night at Blair House. Other family members have also visited the temple, including several of Trump’s children.
The Mass will precede a meeting with outgoing President Joe Biden at the White House, a final gesture of civility before the official inauguration ceremony to be held at the Capitol. Contrary to custom, it will be an indoor ceremony in anticipation of freezing temperatures.
