For unknown reasons, a fire broke out in a single-family home in Tragöß-St. on Monday evening. Katharein (Bruck-Mürzzuschlag district) a fire broke out. Fortunately, no one was injured; a man from Styria was able to save his mother (92) from the flames.
Around 12:20 p.m., the Romanian caregiver of the 92-year-old Styrian woman noticed the fire and ran to the neighboring house where the elderly woman’s 65-year-old son lived. He immediately called the fire brigade and got his mother out of the burning house. Fortunately, no one was injured.
The house was destroyed by flames
Surrounding fire brigades, with 60 personnel and nine vehicles, extinguished the fire. Unfortunately, the house could not be saved, but the fire brigade managed to protect the adjacent stable building, all other nearby objects and the adjacent forest from the flames.
The damage caused and its cause are still the subject of further investigation. The Styrian State Police fire brigade team has taken over the investigation.
