Excitement among parents – the man wanted to attract children to the movies

Date:

A mysterious incident outside the primary school in Eibiswald, Styria, has parents concerned: a man wanted to lure children to the movies. The police were warned, but can take it easy.

Major concerns among teachers, parents and students in Western Styria after an incident Tuesday: In front of the Eibiswald primary school, a stranger approached a school assistant around 11 a.m. and asked her if he could take children to film a movie.

The woman said no and denied the man access to the educational institution where classes were taking place at the time. Then he ran away. The school assistant immediately raised the alarm with the management, who in turn called the police and informed the parents.

“From now on, the police will be present in front of and around the school,” the director wrote in a message to the guardians. And: “Please talk to your children about how to behave in such situations!”

Positive police: ‘Behaved absolutely correctly’
The police confirm the report, but do not consider it a criminal case – because filming is currently taking place in the region. “The assistant and the school management behaved absolutely correctly,” emphasizes spokesman Heimo Kohlbacher. In this context, he refers to the important prevention project ‘Children’s Police’, in which students receive tips on the subject ‘I don’t know you’. Parents are asked to report incidents immediately if the worst occurs.
