After the crime in Innsbruck – look for “knife man” with scars on his face

A 22-year-old man was shocked on Friday evening in Innsbruck: he was threatened with a knife on the street by an unknown perpetrator and asked to hand over cash. Ultimately, the criminal fled without any loot. A search was unsuccessful. The police are hoping for clues.

According to police, the attempted robbery took place around 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Liebeneggstrasse and Karmelitergasse near Innsbruck’s main station.

The previously unknown perpetrator threatened the 22-year-old victim with a knife and demanded that he hand over cash and valuables. Apparently it was just an attempted robbery. “The perpetrator then fled towards Pechepark,” investigators say.

Researchers are hoping for clues
An immediate police search turned up nothing. The fugitive is approximately 6 feet to 6 feet tall and between 25 and 30 years old. He is slim, has fair skin and spoke German. He was wearing a white hoodie at the time of the crime. “The man had striking scars on his face,” emphasizes the police, who hope for clues.
