Israeli Geisel – Islamic jihad wants to release civilians

Date:

In the past, the terrorist organization Hamas has granted that not all Israeli hostages are subject to its violence. Now the Islamic Jihad has spoken and announced that it will be leaving a civilian in the coming week.

According to the Israeli government, these should actually be released on Saturday. The woman is alive and will be released as part of the agreement on the release of Palestinian prisoners for hostages, a representative of the extremist Islamic Jihad organization said. Israel’s military could demand that the civilian is actually still alive.

Until she is released, Gaza Strip residents should not return to the north of the territory, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said. Earlier, Army spokesman Daniel Hagari had accused Hamas of violating hostage release agreements. Accordingly, the release of civilians should be a priority for soldiers. As reported, four young scouts were released on Saturday.

Waffenruhe remains upright
Hamas had told Israel it could not take the civilian from the allied Islamic jihad. Netanyahu subsequently decided not to abandon the ceasefire agreement because of this minor injury. Last weekend, Hamas delayed the first hostages, delaying the start of the six-week ceasefire on Sunday. During that time, three kidnapped Israeli citizens were released.

Palestinians on their way to Egypt
On Saturday, 200 Palestinians were also brought out of Israeli prisons. The first 130 were expected in the West Bank by their families. Another 70 prisoners were taken to Egypt. This has the background that they have committed serious crimes. From there, many will continue to other countries such as Qatar and Turkey.

The agreement stipulates that Israel will release 50 Palestinian prisoners from Israeli prisons for every soldier released. According to Israeli media, Wael Kassem, who is believed to have been involved in bombings in Israel that killed dozens, is also among the prisoners to be released on Saturday.
