A serious traffic accident took place in the old city of Salzburg. This happened less than 24 hours after a collision of two cars had already taken place in the Schwarzstraße in front of the Hotel Sacher – a woman was injured, the “Kroon” reported.
On Saturday, shortly after 10 p.m., a driver (22) from neighboring Bavaria in Imbergstrasse may have lost control of his highly motorized car. The young man stated the police that he had been on the road at 70 km/h instead of a permitted 50 km/h.
He came from the road in a bend and crashed into a concrete pillar. Eventually the car came to a halt on the road. The vehicle was badly damaged. The 22-year-old injured himself in the accident and was taken to the nearby UKH by the rescue. The Alkotest was negative. The vehicle had to be dragged.
