Hardly Roman Catholic Children – primary school should do without religion teachers

Date:

With almost no Roman Catholic children left, a Viennese primary school is now probably withdrawing its last remaining religion teacher. Moreover, the colloquial German is causing unrest there.

There is currently great commotion near a primary school in Vienna-Meidling (because of the children the exact location is not mentioned here): Because there are hardly any Roman Catholic students now, the last remaining religion teacher will have to look for a teacher next school year. new feature look around you, an insider of the “Krone” reports.

However, the final decision should only be made in the first week of the new school year, the education department reacted cautiously to the request. “This year the lesson took place. Let’s see if enough kids sign up,” they say – this year there were only nine.

Vortex on German as a colloquial language
But the school management also works on German as the official language during lessons and breaks. Accordingly, the principal is alleged to have prohibited her teachers from actively demanding German from the students. The absurd reason: avoid conflicts with the parents of foreign language students! The school board vehemently denies the accusation.

It is confirmed, however, that there has only recently been an arson attack in one of the toilets of the problem school: “The fire brigade was called, there was no danger,” according to the education department.
