The fire brigades had to leave for animal rescue on Monday. Donkey “Jaki” fell into a stream in St. Margarethen (Styria) and couldn’t get out. For the Knittelfeld Fire Department, this was not the only effort that day.

On Monday morning, the Glein and Knittelfeld fire brigade were called into an animal rescue in the municipality of St. Margarethen. Donkey “Jaki” had fallen into a stream and could no longer free himself. With the help of a crane, the donkey can be freed from its perilous situation.

“Jaki” was in cold water and was already cooled. “To prevent further hypothermia, he was heated with ceilings until the vet arrived,” the fire brigade reports.

But the day was not over for the Knittelfeld Fire Department. A traffic accident between two cars on the S36 was mentioned directly from the rescue of animals, two people were injured indefinitely. And then there was a fire alarm, which turned out to be a false alarm.
