If you have not yet glued or ordered the new highway vignette or ordered it, it will be high time: from 1 February only the Sea flood vignette or the digital vignette for 2025 applies.
Both types of vignettes are immediately valid at the points of sale – you only have to buy them on time and add them if necessary. Otherwise it will probably be very quickly expensive, because it will be automatically checked.
If it is determined as part of a vignette check that no valid vignette is glued on the windscreen or that there is no valid digital vignette, a replacement stol must be paid to the Asfinag Toll View Organs on site. For vehicles with multiple lane, such as cars, the replacement stol is 120 euros, 65 euros for vehicles with one track. This also applies if a vehicle director is registered without valid vignettes by automatic vignette control.
Even creative vignette -speeches do not apply
As part of toll controls, the toll display organs always find that the lift vignette can be very creative when it comes to the reason why they have not confirmed a valid vignette on the windshield at the time of control. An abundance of apologies is brought into play – from the classic “The Vignette as a gift that held on a wine bottle” to the often quoted “My dog has eaten the vignette”. However, apologies or ignorance do not protect against a replacement stol.
Overview of the prices for the Vignette 2025:
- Annual vignette: 103.80 euros for cars or 41.50 euros for motorcycles
- Two months of vignette: 31.10 euros for cars or 12.40 euros for motorcycles
- Ten -day vignette: 12.40 euros for cars or 4.90 euros for motorcycles
- 1-day vignette: 9.30 euros for cars or 3.70 euros for motorcycles
As always, the validity of the annual vignette is 14 months, from December 1, 2024 and ending on January 31, 2026. All motor vehicles are a maximum of 3.5 tons.
