Unknown perpetrators have destroyed a bust of the former Austrian Foreign Minister Alois Mock (ÖVP) in the Bosnian capital Sarajevo. The monument was unveiled in February 2020.
As the Italian news agency Ansa reported on Monday, it was not the first Vandal Act against the monument that was set up in Kemal Monteno Park. Although the bust was only pushed from the base for earlier attacks, the perpetrators would have completely destroyed it this time.
The bust of former Polish Prime Minister Tadeusz Mazowiecki was only stolen in the Stadspark in the Stadspark. Only the monument is now intact in honor of the former international Bosnia representative Paddy Ashdown.
Former Vice-Chancellor and Foreign Minister Mock, who died in 2017, campaigned for the Subrepublics, including Bosnia-Herzegovina, during the decay process of the Communist Yugoslavia (1991-95).
Mock is mainly worshiped in Croatia, where streets are named after him. The monument in Sarajevo was unveiled in February 2020.
