Rescue efforts are due to continue on Sunday evening (local time). Waves up to ten meters high and visibility of less than 500 meters complicate the search for the emergency services. According to the newspaper report, the Chinese-flagged industrial vessel was in distress off the southern coast of China on Saturday morning. It was caught in Typhoon Chaba and broke in two about 300 kilometers west of China’s Special Administrative Region.
