A Lower Austrian holiday guest (75) drowned in Turnersee on Saturday. A woman brought the motionless floating man to the shore. But all help came too late.
The 44-year-old woman discovered a motionless body in the reed belt around 12.30 pm from a jetty at Turnersee. She immediately jumped into the water and brought the man to shore. With the help of two other witnesses, she lifted the 75-year-old onto the scaffolding and performed CPR measures until an ambulance arrived.
Unfortunately, the doctor was only able to determine the man’s death. The police investigation revealed that the man, a 75-year-old holiday guest from Lower Austria, went swimming alone in the Turnersee in the afternoon and drowned.
