Friday there was a fight on the Wiedner Belt: after a 33-year-old had met two men in the tram, the two tried to rob the woman. The perpetrators were caught by the police. But something else came to light during the arrest.
A 33-year-old woman met two men aged 25 and 50 on the tram in Vienna-Wieden on Friday evening. The three people got off the train together. Suddenly, the men tried to steal the woman’s wallet. Punches were thrown and the woman was allegedly pushed.
Cannabis seized
The attacked woman immediately alerted the police, who were able to arrest the perpetrators near the crime scene. According to the suspects, the woman stole a phone that they wanted back. According to the police, no telephone was found when the bag was examined, but several bags – presumably filled with cannabis – were found.
The two men were then examined. Several packages of drugs were seized from the 25-year-old.
