The Prorussian Hacker Group Name057 launched a whole series of cyber attacks on the websites of Italian banks and the traffic sector of our southern neighbor on Monday.
The group confessed the attacks on the Telegram News Service and called Italian President Sergio Mattarella an “enemy of Russia”, as Italian media reported.

The background: 83-year-old Mattarella had drawn parallels between the aggression of Russia against Ukraine and the literal “project of the Third Reich” in a speech at a university. Both times it was a “war of conquest”.
The cyber attacks are so-called DDOS attacks (distributed refusal of service) on websites of Italian facilities, including those of the Milan Airports Linates and Malpensa, the port authorities of Taranto and Trieste, as well as the Bank Intesa Sanpaolo.
Attacks initially without effects
The attacks initially had no effect. The Italian Bureau for Cyber Security started with the damage limit at the institutions involved.
Cases of hacker attacks were recently reported as important databases in Italy. At the end of December an attack was dedicated to the IT systems of the two Milan Airports Lines and Malpensa.
