A huge container ship has been stranded for the west coast of Neufundland in Canada. When the coast guard saved the 20-person crew, high waves hit the cargo ship. A winch had to be used.
The container ship had reported a power failure in the case of a storm of the thickness of twelve. The waves were up to six meters high at the time. The crew was therefore unable to throw anchor, the ship ran on Saturday morning at the ground of Lark Harbor.
Three days later it was now reported that the 20 crew members could be collected on board with a helicopter. They remained unharmed in the incident. The rescue was dramatic because high waves kept touching the cargo ship.
Here you can see a video of the rescue operation.
Video -recordings show strong wind and that the ship will be moved to the side. The sky is gray and cloudy.
Now the ship, which runs under the flag of Liberia, must be restored. The cause and the exact size of the ship’s accident are still unclear. The cargo ship was en route from Montreal to Corner Brook in Newfoundland.
