A flight to Nepal, with the helicopter in the base camp, on Mount Everest in three days, down again – and be back home on day 7. The Tyrolean company Furtenbach Adventures therefore penetrates the market of controversial start -up expeditions. It should make the gas xenon on the doping list and whose effect is hardly proven in mountain sports. But GF Lukas Furtenbach cannot be deterred from criticism.
“Krone”: Mr. Furtenbach, your project will start soon in May. What is the purpose of this expedition?
Lukas Furtenbach: The idea is that you make the Xenon accessible to everyone. Not necessarily with the purpose of the seven days, which of course is also a provocation. But at some point everyone can do that, just as an extra safety element for an eight thousand meters.
