The area around the South -Italian city of Naples was shaken on Tuesday by a relatively strong earthquake of thickness 4.4 and countless aftershocks. Fear is again about the population.
The shock was registered by the population in a wide environment, including the port city of Pozzuoli, the municipality of Bacoli and the Napolitan districts of Fuorigrotta and Bagnoli. Train connections were interrupted for safety reasons.
Persistent earthquakes in Flegraic fields
The Phlegraic Fields, an area with a high volcanic activity, have been chased by many earthquakes for some time. Usually the small and barely noticeable vibrations that weaken the crust of the earth in the area. The alarm level yellow has been in force for the area for eleven years.
In February, the Italian government provided 184 million euros for the area around the Super Volcano near Naples.
