Who doesn’t know it: fellow human beings who turn a ‘long distance conversation’ on their mobile phone into ‘long distance screams’. Whether on the train, bus or in the supermarket – just annoying. Also in the Baden-Württemberg city of Ravensburg, a “long-distance screamer” was in a discounter on Saturday morning. When another customer asked the man to lower his voice on the phone, he responded.
A 28-year-old man suspected of being under the influence of alcohol made loud calls at the supermarket, disturbing other shoppers. When the man was asked by a 28-year-old customer to turn down the volume, the caller physically assaulted him and punched him in the face.
The alarmed police forced the man outside, where he physically assaulted, threatened, insulted and tried to beat the officers. Since his aggressive behavior did not improve, the German police officers took him into custody. The 28-year-old now has to answer for several crimes. The battered customer suffered minor injuries.
