A Croatian fisherman made the catch of his life: a spotted Meersau went online. This is a shark that is considered very threatened and so far has hardly been proven in the Adriatic Sea.
The Spotted Meersau has been considered very threatened since 2020 and is under strict nature conservation. The animal has its name because of the extraordinary mouth shape, reminiscent of the trunk of a pig, and it is also stupid on the dorsal fin.
The fisherman Nikola Kosanovic went online last weekend. “I fished the pork shader of the Virko more at a depth of about 52 meters,” he said. Kosanovic then took a few photos of the sea animal and released him again in freedom.

Lives more in other areas
The spotted sea lives in a depth between 50 and 700 meters and searches for food such as worms, shellfish and bone fishing at the seabed. She usually lives in the East Atlantic Ocean, on the coast of Great -Britain, on the Iberian coast, in the Gulf of Biscaya and on the coast of Senegal. Severted Sea -Picks appear much less often in the Adriatic Sea.
Adult animals can be a maximum of 150 centimeters long, but most are hardly larger than half a meter. The animals have been considered threatened since 2007 and even threatened since 2020. The shark gets seven to eight young people per nest.
