A mountain bike tour for a Brit (24) ended on Monday at the Innsbruck clinic in Westendorf in the Tyrolean district of Kitzbühel. The man fell five meters into a stream bed and was injured. Firefighters and rescue helicopters came to the rescue.
The accident happened around 12 noon. The 24-year-old rode his mountain bike on the Unterwindau municipal road. He ran off the road for unknown reasons, police said. The Briton then fell about five meters below the road into a stream bed.
The motorcyclist sustained injuries and was flown to the Innsbruck clinic by rescue helicopter after being rescued by the Westendorf fire brigade.
