Nobody wants to go? – Region in Italy attracts new citizens with 80,000 euros

Date:

Abandoned villages, empty houses and a decreasing population – The North -Italian Trentino would rather announce the fight for the village. With a maximum of 80,000 euros in subsidies, the province of Trento wants to convince people to settle in small communities. Anyone who binds to a decade can benefit from the financial incentives.

The province of Trento offers financial incentives for buying a house and the renovation of old buildings in 33 municipalities that have registered a strong decrease in the population over the past ten years, the Milan reports daily “Corriere della Sera”.

List of participating municipalities that have not yet been established
If you are committed to living in the small communities for at least ten years, you can receive a subsidy of a maximum of 80,000 euros. If you rent a property at a rental price with a discount, you can take advantage of the financing. The list of communities that must be favored by the measure is not yet determined.

Spaces with strong tourist streams, such as Trento, Canazei or Riva del Garda on Lake Garda, are excluded from the measures.

“Houses for one euro” received major interest rates
Saving non -processed houses before they cancel and at the same time revived villages: this is the goal of the “Case A Un Euro” campaign (houses for one euro) that has aroused great interest in Italy in recent years.

About 60 cities are currently attracting new residents with the campaign and are trying to renovate real estate that is increasingly threatening.

The idea has already gained a foothold in various Italian regions. In some villages the initiative has become a success story. Many tourists are also interested in the houses for one euro. But they don’t always get away. Many houses are in very poor condition, the renovation costs should not be underestimated.

Italian villages fight against extinction
More than 1500 municipalities in Italy are threatened with extinction. High unemployment, poor traffic routes, neither tourism nor agriculture include reasons for this. Mountain villages are threatened, from which the young people flee and retirees remain.
