Absolutely and vacation fought for: the Carinthia Chamber of Labor was dedicated to a long -term employee and was able to fight for 34,500 euros.
After more than two decades in the service of a Carinthian furniture store, the long -term employee ended in September 2024. Despite the mutual dissolution of the employment relationship, the man was confronted with an unpleasant problem: the amount of the termination of approximately 32,700 euros was missing.
34,500 euros fought
He was also denied an extra holiday week that he was entitled to. Due to the active support of the Chamber of Labor (AK) Carinthia, however, the employee was able to view and enforce his open claims – a total of 34,500 euros gross.
The affected Carinthian has been working in the furniture store since 2002 and became old under the replacement law of the employees.
Right to extra holiday week since 2022
“The man worked for the same employer from 1995 to 2000. According to the law, these years must be counted in another employment relationship for at least five years. Thus he would have been entitled to the extra holiday week in April 2022,” said Ak Working Law Expert Evena Spath.
AK president Günther Goach emphasizes: “The long-term employees have earned the extra holiday week, which may not be refused by incorrect calculations.”
