Very shock for a truck driver on Wednesday afternoon: in reverse gear he sent his heavy vehicle along the Seebach. The flood protection is being built there.
In the afternoon the sirens suddenly sounded in the Villach area near Landskron: the voluntary Fire Brigades Landskron, Vassach and the most important fire station Villach moved immediately. At the Seebach flood protection construction site, a truck was strayed from the reinforced path during the reversing and slid in the Seabach on the driver’s side.
“The truck remained dry on the dike,” Hbi Harald Geissler explains from the main fire station Villach. The driver himself was caught in the accident, but could be saved from the vehicle by his colleagues before the fire brigades arrived. He was injured in the hospital.
“Another focus was on the possibility of purchasing equipment, which was checked by a diver in a wetsuit,” reports the HFW Villach. As a precaution, a three -time oil barrier was immediately built and the landing shemist inquired.
During the rescue by a private company, HFW Villach and FF Landskron support the lighting of the scene of the accident.
