Seriously injured – Paragliders crashed on parked minibus

A paraglid pilot was seriously injured on Sunday when he crashed on an unpaved road against a minibus in Schnifis (Vorarlberg). The man had to be flown to the clinic by helicopter.

The accident took place in Schnifis around 1.30 pm. On Sunday afternoon. A 38-year-old Parag leader from Schlins started his flight on a practice slope in the Schnifner Ried. But shortly after the start the man had significant problems.

Lost control
He lost control of his screen and thundered against a VW bus that was parked on an unpaved road. The power of the impact was so great that the 38-year-old was seriously injured. He was taken to the State Hospital Feldkirch by helicopter. How the man’s health is currently unknown.
