India is confronted with an exceptionally hot summer. The National Weather Authority and predicts above -average temperatures and an increase in heat wave days for the months of April to June. East India and urban areas are particularly affected, where extreme temperatures can become life threatening.
During the summer season, which lasted from April to June, the majority of the country would be reached in most parts of the country, the IMD explained on Monday evening. Accordingly, the number of heat wave days will increase. In the normal summer in India, the temperatures up to 45 degrees have already been reached.
Heat can be fat for many
“Up to ten heat wave days or even more can be expected, especially in the East Indies,” said IMD director Mohaapatra to journalists in the coming summer. On average, India experiences four to seven heat wave days from April to June.
