The US president has given an ultimatum to Beijing to withdraw his mutual rates before he ended on Tuesday.
The President of the United States, Donald Trump, threatened on Monday by imposing an additional rate of 50 % to China as Beijing does not withdraw before tomorrow, 8 April, the obstacles imposed on American products as a retribution plan for the Republican tariff plan.
“If China does not withdraw his rise of 34 %, in addition to his long -term commercial abuses, before tomorrow 8 April 2025, the United States will impose extra rates of 50 % on China from 9 April,” he said in his social truth Network.
Trump also warned that “all conversations with China” will be suspended about the negotiations that, according to Republican, has asked the Asian country to tackle the commercial war.
Last week the President of the United States imposed rates of 34% to China, after which the Asian giant responded with rates of the same amount. In addition to other earlier taxes, Trump has imposed a total of 54 %rates.
Beijing warned on Monday that “pressure and threats are not the right way to relate to China.”
Trump has been “open” to only negotiate with every country if it is to reduce the commercial deficiency that the United States have with the other countries, but more and more analysts fear that rates will ultimately have a global recession.
