A 65-year-old feels cheated by the landlord: for the quarters that he has only tested for almost two weeks, he has to expand the costs of eight months plus interest. The dispute about money is a matter for the judiciary.
Looking for a new house, Franz H. saw an apartment on Badstrasse in Jennernorf (Burgenland) last year. By a tip, the 65-year-old was informed of the supply-advertised via the internet platform. “Due to physical difficulties, I have to pay special attention to certain framework conditions when choosing my accommodation. After the first conversation with the landlord, the offer sounded promising,” the prospect recalls.
Rent not resolved
According to Franz H., he took his travel bag at the end of June 2024 to see the apartment in Jennernorf. At this point a permanent rent was not resolved, the person involved explains: “A piece of paper was held under my nose that I had to sign as a confirmation that I was there. Then the key was given to me.” He was a test in the district for almost two weeks until the test phase was over for him, says Franz H.
From the start he would have had problems dealing with 40 climb. “I’m sorry, I can’t get any less,” the landlord would have said. Franz H. – At home in the Neusiedl Am See District – was disappointed about the place of residence and started the return trip at the beginning of July 2024.
The Burgenland experienced an annoying surprise when a payment request from styric lawyers fluttered in the house last fall. Franz H. must increase rental interest and operating costs from January to August 2024, the cleaning costs, standard interest and a fixed rate for legal intervention. According to the letter, 5455.37 euros were due. Since then, the case of the court has been walking to court.
Burgenländer sees himself as an innocent victim
The 65-year-old feels surprised by the styric landlord. “The memorandum, from January 2024 ‘, must have been added to the memorandum that the lease is. I was only there for a short time in the summer,” says Franz H. He is very worried about him: “This money claim is just unfair.” The legal dispute continues.
