The Israeli Cultural Community (IKG) takes action against ORF in the Media Authority. It contains the “World Journal” program “Gaza War -Hell on Earth”.
The program was broadcast in September of the previous year and, according to the IKG Lies, spreads the Hamas terrorist organization and therefore contributes to an “anti -Jewish atmosphere” in Austria.
Moreover, the IKG argued that the program was neither impartial neither objective and therefore violated the ORF Act, according to the news magazine “Profile”.
The purpose of the complaint, which has joined 200 private individuals from the Jewish community, is that the ORF must remove the contribution from the archive and make a possible decision in favor of the IKG.
Promotion of a variety of opinions
ORF states that there are only three productions as part of the broad report on Israel and Palestine, which were filmed in the Gaza Strip itself. On the other hand, there are different programs from an Israeli perspective. The “World Journal” therefore contributes to promoting the diversity of opinions.
