According to the demo for the preservation of the hospital location in the Waldviertel district of Gmünd and great uncertainty among the population and for nursing staff, the government is now being asked to answer important questions.
Community representatives of the ÖVP, Spö and FPö in the Gmünd district wrote a resolution to the state government, which asks for important questions from the hospital location to answer and the medical care for the Waldviertel region.
Only more Clinical Day operations
In Gmünd the hospital must be closed and a “health clinic” must be built next to Cross -Border Health in the center. However, this new clinic may no longer have acute beds, only perform more daily clinical operations, similar to the adjacent Waidhofen on the Thaya. Since the state government was presented on 24 March, there have been no more detailed plans since the Health Pact was presented.
“Massive uncertainty” for citizens and nurses
The State Health Agency (LGA) must now plan the implementation of the Pact. After the demo, where almost all tenth citizens of the district had protested to maintain the current hospital location, the municipal representatives of Black, Red and Blue now ask for the state government to “massive uncertainty about the population and the workforce” to answer important future questions.
Many questions to the state government
These are: what does the new health center look like? How is the clock guaranteed around the clock? What about job security, regional added value and future of the hospital building? According to the regional party representatives, a hospital’s closure is not accepted without an equivalent replacement.
Michael Bierbach (Spö) and Anja Scherzer (FPö) have already approved the pact in the parliament of the State without further answers …
