For a man in Germany, Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s hug has not remained without consequences: he has to pay a fine of 4500 euros because he was pressing his car in a security column and unauthorized to the Frankfurt Airport site (see video above).
He was now fined on Thursday for the threat of road traffic and violation. This is 150 daily rates of 30 euros each. Moreover, there is a ride of two and a half years. The judgment is not final. The 50-year-old said in court that he had accidentally entered the situation. “I apologize for everything.” He also improved.
The incident already took place in May 2023. The fact that Scholz was in one of the columns only played a subordinate role in the Frankfurt procedure. Public Prosecutor Christian Lang said this was pure coincidence. There was no motivation behind it.
Celebrated and not slept
The convicted person was under drugs at the time of the incident. He had already noticed it in the past and four months after the crime due to driving under the influence of drugs. In May 2023 he celebrated two days earlier, repeated cocaine and did not sleep. He then joined the convoy with his private car.
He hugged the Chancellor when he wanted to get on the plane. He has simply adapted his behavior to the rest of the group, the man said in court. At that time, Scholz had let himself be said about the incident. The 50-year-old was arrested directly at the airport and later released again.
