It is managed by Tiziano Gavaz, who descends from an Italian ice maker family and already produces and sells the dessert in the third generation.
He has two business buildings, one on Laxenburger Straße and one directly on Keplerplatz. Customers are increasingly impossible to register – there are many reasons for this.
Little personnel and location problem
“I was able to win the Turkish community for myself, I find it difficult for the Syrians,” said the 63-year-old. Moreover, there are expensive ingredients, at the same time he does not have the most buying customers.
The staff had to reduce the trained ice maker to a third, which means that he and his wife pick up a maximum of twelve hours a day to compensate for the missing helping hands. But he is also happy because he often had problems with employees, such as a young woman who threw the towel after just two hours because she did not stand up for the stress. And the situation also brings challenges. From his workplace he witnesses countless criminal actions every day, such as fighting and drug deals, the police are often on the spot. “It has become worse in recent years, it urgently needs a ban on alcohol,” demand the Viennese.
He used to have a sanigarten, now he switched to the road on ice. He has not had any successors so far, insofar as health enables him to do business.
