A Dutch woman suffered serious head injuries in a driving accident in Kirchdorf (Tirol) on Monday. As police announced on Thursday, she died at the Innsbruck clinic the next day.
On Monday around 11:30 a.m., a 52-year-old Dutch woman rode her horse alone on the Leukentalweg from St. Johann iT. in the direction of Kirchdorf, when for some unknown reason the horse suddenly “ran away”.
Bumping his head on a dirt road
The rider tried to regain control of the horse, but after a short distance she was unable to hold the horse and fell from the horse. The woman hit the dirt road first and fell unconscious to the ground.
Passers-by sounded the alarm
Passers-by who saw the accident immediately gave first aid and made an emergency call. After emergency medical care, the victim was taken by C4 emergency doctor helicopter to the university clinic in Innsbruck. As police said on Thursday, she succumbed to her serious injuries at the clinic on Tuesday.
