The suspicion that Russia is responsible for package bombs in the air freight that appeared in Leipzig last year is paved: a track leads to the Russian military secret service. A plane crash was probably only prevented in the summer due to a happy coincidence.
According to research by WDR, NDR and “Süddeutscher Zeitung” (SZ), which were published on Wednesday, Western Intelligence Services were able to connect different Gru members to the sabotage plans.
This includes a Gru colonel that has been punished by the European Union since December 2024. According to WDR, NDR and “SZ”, the published sanction rights said that the Gru -Kolonel “had recruited agents for sabotage files in the Union in the Union” via social media.
In the summer, packages with fire sets appeared in warehouses of the DHL logistics group in Germany and Great Britain, where they were on fire. In Poland, a package also set fire to a DHL truck.
Fire percentages hidden between sex toys and cosmetics
The fire brigade sets would be hidden in massage cushions that were in the packages together with cosmetics and sex toys, as the media now reported. According to security authorities, it was just a happy coincidence that the packages would not be on fire during the flight. As part of the operation, escape routes to North America would also have been explained.
Several “disposable means” were arrested
According to the research, suspects were arrested in Lithuania, Poland, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Great Britain. These must be so -called disposable products, called “agents at low level” in security circles. What is meant are people who are recruited through Trade Fair services such as Telegram to take on certain tasks without knowing the exact background of full use.
“A plane can go on fire and kill everyone on board,” said James Appathurai, who is responsible for, among other things, strategies for defense against hybrid attacks, against WDR, NDR and “Süddeutscher Zeitung”. “It can fall in a place of residence and the people who live there. And for these reasons we think this is an escalation.”
According to the report, the Russian embassy in Berlin disputed that Moscow was behind the incidents. She spoke about “paranoia” and “conspiracy theories,” reported WDR, NDR and “SZ”.
